ج بُكْم، مؤ بَكْماءُ، ج مؤ بَكْماوات وبُكْم : صفة مشبَّهة تدلّ على الثبوت من بكِمَ :
🇬🇧 Translation:
Plural (bukm), feminine (bakma'), feminine plural (bakmawat) and (bukm): An assimilated adjective indicating permanence of muteness from (bakima):
- مَن لا يسمعون ولا يهتدون
- فِتْنة صمَّاءُ بَكْماء عَمْياء : لا حدّ لشرورها ولا سبيل إلى تسْكينها
- لُغَة الصُّمّ والبُكْم : لُغَة تعتمد على الحركات اليدويَّة للوصول للمعنى.
🇬🇧 Translation:
- Those who cannot hear and are not guided
- Deaf, mute, and blind affliction: whose evils have no limit and no way to pacify them
- Sign language for the deaf and mute: A language relying on hand gestures to convey meaning.
