• ألقى عصا التَّطواف : استقرَّ، أقام
• أُلقي عليه القبْضُ : أمسكت به الشُّرطة
• ألقى عنه الهمّ : طرحه
• ألقى فيه متاعَه : وضعه
• ألقى في يده زمامَ الأمر : فوضه إليه، جعل له الرأي فيه يقضي بما يشاء
• ألقى نفسَه بين أحضانه : سلّم أمرَه إليه
• لا يلقي له بالاً : لا يهتمّ به.

• ألقى متاعَه على الباخرة : وضعه.
