مف بَرْهَميّ : (دن) مَنْ يؤمنون بالديانة البرهمانيّة، وهي ديانة هندية تقول بإله مجرد أعلى، خَلَق العوالم كلها، وتجعل النّاس طوائف مغلقة على رأسها الكهنة، وتدعو إلى تقديم القرابين، وتأخذ بالتناسخ ليتخلص المرءُ من القيود التي تربطه بالدنيا، وذهب مؤرِّخو الفرق الإسلاميّة إلى أنها تنكر النُّبوّات والبعث وتحرّم لحوم الحيوان.
