(حن) جنس من طَيْر الماء، قصير الجناحَيْن ولا يطير، سَمين، ظهره أسود، وصدره أبيض، وله أقدام كفّيَّة تكيّفت للسِّباحة والغطس، يعيش في أسراب، ويكثر في الأصقاع الجنوبيَّة.
