ج أفلاك وفُلْك وفُلُك : مدار الشَّمس والقمر والنجوم والكواكب

Plural: aflāk, fulk, and fuluk. The orbit of the sun, moon, stars, and planets.

دائرة ترسمها الشمس في سيرها في السماء في سنة واحدة.

🇬🇧 Translation:

The circle traced by the sun in its course across the sky in one year.

علم الفَلَك

(فك) علم يبحث في الأجرام السَّماوية من حيث تكوينها ومواقعها وقوانين سيرها، وهو أقدم العلوم

🇬🇧 Translation:

(Astronomy) The science that studies celestial bodies in terms of their composition, positions, and laws of motion, being one of the oldest sciences.

" كل كوكب يدور في فَلَكه
{لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ} "

" Every planet orbits in its sphere
{It is not permissible for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming} "
