(جو) السطح المرئيّ من الشَّمس وسمكها ثلاثمائة ميل فقط، حيث يتغير جو الشَّمس من الحالة المعتمة إلى الشّفافية والوضوح، وحيث يمكن لموجات الضوء المتطور أن تنطلق، وتبلغ درجة حرارة هذه المنطقة حوالي خمسة آلاف وسبعمائة وستين درجة مئويّة.
