الهِجاء
(دب) أحد أغراض الشّعر العربيّ منذ العصر الجاهليّ وحتى العصر الحديث، وهو عمل أدبيّ يهاجم الرَّذيلة أو الحُمق البشريّ من خلال السُّخرية، وقد يلجأ الهجّاء إلى سلب المهجوّ ما يَعتزّ به من الفضائل، أو رميه بما ينفّر من الرذائل، وأحيانًا يكون الهجاء سياسيًّا بغرض سلب الحاكم أو الأمير هيبته.
