حَرُوريّة

(سف) طائفة من الخوارج تنسب إلى حروراء بقرب الكوفة، لأنّهم أقاموا أول اجتماعهم وتحكيمهم بها حين خالفوا عليًّا، وكان عندهم تشدُّد في الدِّين حتى مرقوا منه.

(Philosophy and Sufism) A sect of the Kharijites attributed to Harura' near Kufa, because their first meeting and arbitration took place there when they opposed Ali, and they had such extremism in religion that they strayed from it.
