(كم) هُروين، هِروين؛ مخدِّر قويّ مُشتقّ من المورفين المستخرج من نبات الأفيون، يتعاطاه الفردُ عن طريق الاستنشاق أو الحَقْن تحت الجلد أو الحقن في الوريد، ونظرًا لتأثيره وصعوبة السَّيطرة عليه زادت الوفيات بسبب تعاطيه، وزادت كذلك نسبةُ الإجرام، ويحظر استعمالُه في كثير من الدُّول
Translation:
Heroin; a potent narcotic derived from morphine extracted from the opium plant, consumed by inhalation, subcutaneous injection, or intravenous injection. Due to its effect and the difficulty of controlling it, deaths caused by its use have increased, as has the crime rate, and its use is banned in many countries.
