أحد الرُّسل الذين بعثهم الله تعالى لدعوة النَّاس إلى عبادة الله وحده، كنيته أبو الأنبياء ودينه الحنيفيّة، يُعرف بخليل الرحمن، وخليل الله، وهو الجدّ الأعلى للرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم، قام هو وابنه إسماعيل برفع قواعد البيت العتيق في مكّة المكرّمة بعد أن رحل إلى مكّة مع زوجته هاجر وابنه إسماعيل، وقد أتاه الله سبحانه صحفًا تدعو إلى التوحيد
🇬🇧 Translation:
One of the messengers sent by God Almighty to call people to the worship of God alone. His epithet is 'Father of the Prophets', his religion is Hanifism, and he is known as 'Khalil al-Rahman' (The Friend of the Merciful) and 'Khalil Allah' (The Friend of God). He is an ancestor of the Prophet, peace be upon him. He and his son Ishmael raised the foundations of the Ancient House (Kaaba) in Mecca after migrating there with his wife Hagar and his son Ishmael. God gave him scriptures calling for monotheism.
- يُضرَب بها المثل في الشّيء المتروك المنسيّ
- ضيف إبراهيم : يُضْرب مثلاً للضيف الكريم
- مقام إبراهيم : يُضرَب مثلاً لكلّ مكان شريف ومقام كريم
- نار إبراهيم : يُضرَب بها المثل في البَرد والسلامة.

- Used proverbially for something abandoned and forgotten
- Abraham's guest: proverbial for a generous/honored guest
- The Station of Abraham: proverbial for every honorable place and noble station
- Abraham's fire: proverbial for coolness and safety.

The name of a surah in the Holy Quran, which is Surah number 14 in the Mushaf order, Meccan, consisting of fifty-two verses.
