كَفِّيّات

(حن) رتبة من الطّيور، فيها أربع رُتَيْبَات هي : طويلات الرِّيش ومنها القَطْرَس، وشاملات الكفوف ومنها البجع، وصُفَيْحيّات المناقير ومنها الوزيّات والبطيّات والنحاميّات، وعديمات الرّيش ومنها البطريق.

(Zoology) Palmipedes / web-footed birds; an order of birds containing four sub-orders: long-feathered birds including the albatross, web-footed birds including pelicans, flat-billed birds including geese, ducks, and flamingos, and featherless birds including the penguin.
