ضربها بشيء صلب؛ ليُسقط ورقها أو ثمرها

To beat a tree with a hard object to make its leaves or fruit fall off.

• مسَّه فخَبَله، أصابه بشيء من الجنون والصَّرْع والأذى? خبَط في الطريق/ خبَط في اللَّيل : سار فيه على غير هدى
• يَخبِط خَبْطَ عَشْواء : يتصرَّف على غير هدًى، يخطئ ويصيب
• يَخبِط في عمياء/ خبَط في عمياء : سير على غير هدًى، يفعل الشّيءَ عن جهل.

• To possess someone, driving them mad or harming them. ? He walked blindly in the path/night
• He acts blindly (lit. strikes like a blind camel): he errs and hits, acts without guidance
• He proceeds in darkness: walking without guidance, doing something out of ignorance.
