خذَلَ/ خذَلَ عن يَخذُل، خَذْلاً وخِذلانًا، فهو خاذِل، والمفعول مَخْذول

ضلَّله، لم يعصمه من الشُّبَه والسيِّئة فيقع فيهما

To lead him astray, not protect him from doubts and evil so that he falls into them.

تخلَّى عن نصرته وإعانته

🇬🇧 Translation:

To abandon supporting and aiding him.

• خاب رجاؤُه
• خذلته قدماه : لم يقدر على المشي.

🇬🇧 Translation:

• His hope failed
• His legs failed him: He was unable to walk.
