لَمْف

(حي) مائعٌ لا لونَ له، يكتنف الأنسجةَ ويجري في المجاري والقنوات اللَّمفاويّة، ثمَّ يذهب إلى الدَّم عن طريق القناة الصَّدريّة، وهو يتألَّف من سائل به مادَّة تتخثَّر تُشْبه بلازما الدَّم، ومن كثير من خلايا الدَّم البيض.

(Biology) A colorless fluid surrounding tissues that flows through lymphatic channels and enters the blood via the thoracic duct. It consists of a coagulable fluid resembling blood plasma and many white blood cells.
