لعَنَ يلعَن، لَعْنًا، فهو لاعن، والمفعول مَلْعون ولعين

لعَنه اللهُ

طرده وأبعده من الخير

Banished him and distanced him from goodness.

شجرة الزقّوم، أي : الملعون آكلها، وقيل : هي التي كرهها ولعنها كلُّ مَنْ ذاقها.

🇬🇧 Translation:

The Zaqqum tree, meaning: whose eater is cursed, and it is said: it is the one disliked and cursed by everyone who tasted it.

لعَن فلانًا

سبَّه ونعته بالخِزْي والعار

🇬🇧 Translation:

Insulted him and described him with disgrace and shame.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Inviting or causing a curse
The two curse-bringers (al-la'anan): Defecating in the middle of the road or under the shade of a tree.

دعا بالشّرِّ عليه، أي قال : لعنة الله عليه

🇬🇧 Translation:

Invoked evil upon him, meaning saying: May the curse of Allah be upon him.

" لعَنه أهلُه
{وَغَضِبَ اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ}
{إِنَّ اللهَ لَعَنَ الْكَافِرِينَ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ سَعِيرًا} : طردهم وأبعدهم عن الخير بسخط وغضب "

"His family cursed him
{And Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him}
{Indeed, Allah has cursed the disbelievers and prepared for them a Blaze}: meaning He banished and distanced them from goodness with wrath and anger."
