(نت) جنس نباتات من الفصيلة الزَّنبقيّة تنبت في البلاد الحارّة، فيها أنواع تزرع في الحدائق للتزيين، وأخرى يستخرج من أوراقها اللحميّة عصارة راتينجيّة مُرَّة تستعمل في الطبِّ للإسهال، ويسمّى أيضا الصبر، أو الصبّار.

(Botany) Aloe; a genus of plants of the Liliaceae family growing in hot countries, some types of which are grown in gardens for decoration, while others yield a bitter resinous juice from their fleshy leaves used in medicine for diarrhea, also called aloe or sabr.
