(حن) نوع من الأسماك البحريّة له ثلاث زعانف ظهريّة وزعنفتان شرجيّتان، يصل طوله إلى 1.5 مترًا، ووزنه حتى 40 كيلو جرام، انتشاره واسع يغطِّي الجزء الشماليّ من المحيطين الهاديّ والأطلسيّ، وللمورة أهميّة اقتصاديّة كبرى إذ يصاد منها سنويًا حوالي مليون ونصف المليون من الأطنان.

A type of marine fish with three dorsal fins and two anal fins, reaching a length of up to 1.5 meters and a weight of up to 40 kilograms. It is widely distributed, covering the northern part of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The cod has major economic importance, with about one and a half million tons caught annually.
