مف مَوْزَة : (نت) جنس نباتات عشبيَّة ليفيّة من الفصيلة الموزيّة، تنبت في البلاد الحارّة، أنواعها عديدة فمنها ما يُزرع للزِّينة أو لصناعة الحبال، ومنها ما يُزرع من أجل ثماره السكريّة اللذيذة الطَّعم ويُطلق الاسم أيضًا على ثمر تلك العُشبة.

Sing. مَوْزَة: A genus of fibrous herbaceous plants of the Musaceae family, growing in hot countries. Its many species include those grown for ornamentation or rope-making, and those grown for their sweet, delicious fruit. The name is also given to the fruit of that herb (Banana).
