(نت) شجر مثمر من الفصيلة البرتقاليّة دائم الخضرة، ثمرته لُبِّيَّة ذات عصارةٍ حمضيَّة مُرَّة، وأزهاره بيض ذوات رائحة طيِّبة تُستعمل في صُنع العطور، وقشرة الثّمرة تستعمل في عمل المرَبيّات وفي الطبّ دواء، تسمِّيه العامّة (أبو صفير) أو (النفَّاش) وتطلق الكلمة أيضًا على ثمر هذا الشجر.

(Botany) An evergreen fruit tree of the citrus family (Rutaceae), having pulpy fruit with acidic and bitter juice, white fragrant flowers used in perfume making, and fruit peel used in jams and medicine. Commonly called (Abu Safir) or (Al-Naffash). The term also refers to the fruit of this tree.
