ندِيَ يَندَى، انْدَ، ندًى ونَداوَةً ونُدُوَّةً، فهو ندٍ وندِيّ ونَدْيانُ/ نَدْيانٌ

ابتلَّ

To become wet, moist.

• لم يتحرّك له شيء
• كلامٌ يَنْدَى له الجبين : مُخْجِلٌ.

🇬🇧 Translation:

• Nothing moved for it
• A statement that makes the forehead sweat with shame: shameful.

جادَ وكرُم وسخا

🇬🇧 Translation:

To be generous, noble, and bountiful.

• بخيل
• ما نديتُ بشيء من فلان : ما نلت منه ندى، أي : خير.

🇬🇧 Translation:

• Miserly
• I did not get anything from so-and-so: I gained no generosity, i.e., goodness, from him.

أصابها ندًى.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Was touched by dew / moisture

ارتفع وامتدّ في حُسْن.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Rose and extended melodiously / beautifully
