Lost memory of something or its image, did not retain it, opposite of remembered.

- نسِي الجميلَ : جَحَدَه
- نسِي نفسَه : غفل عن مكانة من يخاطبه.

- To remain alive in memory
- He forgot the favor: denied it
- He forgot himself: was heedless of the status of the person he is addressing.
