(كم) قِلْوانيّ، سائل قابل للذوبان، وهو العنصر الفعّال في الطُّبّاق، ويُستعمل في إبادة الحشرات.

مادَّة سامّة عديمة اللَّون تُستخرج من أوراق التَّبغ، تخفِّف التَّعب والجوعَ وتنبِّه الحواسّ، يدمنه المدخِّنون، كثرته مضرّة جدًّا بالصحَّة.
