ج قيعان وقيعَة : أرض مستوية عمّا يحيط بها من الجبال والآكام، تنصبّ إليها مياهُ الأمطار فتمسكها ثمّ تُنبت العُشب

🇬🇧 Translation:

Plural: qī‘ān and qī‘ah. Flat land lower than what surrounds it of mountains and hills, where rainwater collects, holds, and then sprouts vegetation.

" {وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَعْمَالُهُمْ كَسَرَابٍ بِقِيعَةٍ}
{وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنْسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسْفًا. فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا} "

🇬🇧 Translation:

" {And those who disbelieved, their deeds are like a mirage in a lowland}
{And they ask you about the mountains, so say, 'My Lord will blow them away with a blast. And He will leave them a level plain'} "
