قلَى يَقْلِي، اقْلِ، قَلْيًا، فهو قالٍ، والمفعول مَقْلِيّ

أنضجه في المِقلاة بالزّيت أو السّمن

أبغَضَه واشتدّ كُرْهُه له فهجره

To hate someone, detesting him intensely and thus forsaking him.
