رفُق الشَّخصُ

صار صديقًا لغيره مصاحبًا له

Became a friend to another, accompanying him (To become a companion/Friend).

رفُق بفلان/ رفُق على فلان/ رفُق لفلان

رفَق؛ لَطَف به وألان جانبه له وأحسن الصنيع له، عامله برِفْق

🇬🇧 Translation:

Rafaqa; was gentle with him, softened his side for him, did good to him, treated him gently (To be gentle/Kind).

" kuntu fi rafaqati al-wazir
al-jar qabla ad-dar wa ar-rafiq qabla at-tariq [mathal]
