ج أَرْمِدة : (كم) ما تخلَّف من احتراق المواد، بقايا غير عضويّة تتخلَّف بعد إحراق الموادّ القابلة للاحتراق مثل الخشب

Plural: armidah : (Chemistry) What is left from burning materials, inorganic residues left after burning combustible materials like wood (Ash/Ashes).

- You waste your time on useless things
- To throw dust in the eyes: to mislead, obscure matters
- Bone ash: white calcium phosphate ash found in burnt bones, used as fertilizer and in making ceramics
- Fire under the ashes: hidden grudges that will suddenly erupt
- He has many ashes: generous (Ash).
