شبَّ شبَبْتُ، يَشِبّ، اشْبِبْ/ شِبَّ، شَبابًا وشبيبةً، فهو شابّ

أدرك طوْرَ الشّباب، صار فتيًّا

Reached the stage of youth, became a young man (To grow up/Become a youth).

• كبُرَ واعتمد على نفسه، بلغ مبلغ الرجال
• مَنْ شبّ على شيء شاب عليه [مثل] : يُضرب للإشارة إلى أنّ سلوكَ الإنسان يتحدّد منذ الصِّغر.

🇬🇧 Translation:

• Grew up and became independent, reached manhood
• man shabba 'ala shay'in shaba 'alayhi [proverb] : used to indicate that a person's behavior is determined from childhood (Whoever grows up with something, grows old with it).
