الشِّعر الحُرُّ

شعر لا يتقيّد بالقافية الموحَّدة، الشِّعر المتحرِّر من الوزن والقافية.

الشِّعر المُرْسَل

الشِّعر غير المقفَّى.

شعر يمتاز بالحكمة وضرب الأمثال.

Poetry characterized by wisdom and proverbs (Wisdom poetry).

شِعر المديح

الفن الشعريّ الذي يتناول مناقبَ شخص من الأشخاص، أو مدح شيء أو معنًى من المعاني أو الأشياء.

The poetic art that deals with the virtues of a person, or praises a thing or a specific meaning (Panegyric poetry/Eulogy).

شِعر المناسبات

شِعر يُكتب أو يُقال خِصيِّصَى لمناسبة معيَّنة هي عادة الاحتفال بذكرى حدث اجتماعيّ أو تاريخيّ أو أدبيّ.

Poetry written or spoken specifically for a certain occasion, which is usually celebrating the anniversary of a social, historical, or literary event (Occasional poetry).

بيت الشِّعر

كلام موزون مؤلَّف عادةً من شطرين، (صدر وعجز) ، وقد يكون شطرًا واحدًا.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Metered speech usually composed of two hemistichs (sadr and 'ajuz), and sometimes it can be one hemistich (Line of poetry/Verse).
