🇬🇧 Translation:

Gulped it down (To drink).

• طال عمرُه وتأثّر بمرور الزَّمن عليه، بلي من القدم
• اشرب من البحر : مُت غَيْظًا، افعلْ ما تشاء
• شرِب السّجائِرَ : دخّنها
• شرِب الكأسَ حتَّى الثُّمالة : احتمل ما هو شاقّ ومؤلم حتى النهاية، لم يُبقِ فيها شيئًا، سكِر وغاب عن وعيه
• شرِب ما أُلقي عليه : فهمه
• شرِب نَخْبَه/ شرِب في صحَّته : تناول شرابًا احتفاءً بحضور شخص، أو حُبًّا فيه.

🇬🇧 Translation:

• Lived long and was affected by the passage of time, wore out from old age
• Drink from the sea: die of rage, do whatever you want
• Drank cigarettes: smoked them
• Drank the cup to the dregs: endured what is hard and painful to the end, left nothing in it, got drunk and lost consciousness
• Drank what was thrown at him: understood it
• Drank to his health: took a drink to celebrate someone's presence, or out of love for him (To drink/Metaphorical uses).
