صُرَد

(حن) طائِرٌ أكبرُ من العصفور ضخم الرَّأس والمنقار أبيضُ البطن أخضرُ الظَّهر يصيد صِغارَ الحشرات، وربمّا صاد العصفورَ، كانوا يتشاءمون منه.

(Zool.) A bird larger than a sparrow with a large head and beak, white belly, green back, which preys on small insects, and perhaps sparrows; people used to consider it a bad omen.

(طب) عِرْقان يستبطِنان اللِّسان.

(Medicine) Two veins lining the bottom of the tongue.
