سَوْف

Root: س و ف
حرف مبنيٌّ على الفتح يخصِّص أفعال المضارعة للاستقبال البعيد، فيردّ الفعل من الزمان الضيّق وهو الحال إلى الزمان الواسع وهو الاستقبال. وهو يقتضي معنى المماطلة والتأخير، وأكثر ما يستعمل في الوعيد، وقد يستعمل في الوعد
🇬🇧 Translation:
A particle built on fathah that specifies the present tense verb for the distant future, so it changes the verb from the narrow time, which is the present, to the broad time, which is the future. It implies the meaning of procrastination and delay, and is mostly used in threats, and sometimes used in promises (Will/Shall (indicating the future)).
ساوفَ يساوف، مُساوَفةً، فهو مُساوِف، والمفعول مُساوَف (sawf) سوَّفَ/ سوَّفَ بـ يسوِّف، تسويفًا، فهو مُسوِّف، والمفعول مُسوَّف (swf) مسافة (msafh)

  • " سوف أجتهد في المذاكرة
  • {قَالَ سَوْفَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكُمْ رَبِّي}

  • " sawfa ajtahidu fil-mudhakarati
  • {qala sawfa astaghfiru lakum rabbi}
  • {inna alladhina kafaru bi'ayatina sawfa nuslihim naran} (I will work hard in studying
  • {He said: "I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord"}
  • {Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses
  • We will drive them into a Fire}) "
