(نت) نبات حوليّ زراعيّ من الفصيلة الباذنجانيّة، وتُطلق الكلمة أيضًا على ثمر ذلك النّبات، وهو ثمر مستدير صغير الحجم، أحمر اللون يمكن أن يؤكل نيئًا أو مطهيًّا، أو يضاف إلى السلاطة، أو يشرب عصيرًا، أو يطبخ في شكل صلصة مع الخضراوات والبقول.
