تحسين وتزيين، والأصل في التزويق أن يوضع الزاوُوق (الزئبق) مع الذهب فيُطلى به الشيءُ المرادُ تزيينه

Beautifying and decorating, and the origin in tazwiq is to put mercury (za'uq) with gold and then the object to be decorated is coated with it (Gilding/Decoration).
