وَقَص

(فق) ما بين الفريضتين، نحو أن تبلغ الإبلُ خمسًا ففيها شاة ولا شيءَ في الزِّيادة حتَّى تبلغ عَشْرًا؛ فما بين الخمس إلى العشر وقَصٌ، وبعضُ العلماء يجعل الوَقَص في البقَر خاصّة.

(Islamic Jurisprudence) the remainder between two obligatory thresholds of Zakat, such as when camels reach five, the obligation is one sheep, with no additional obligation on the excess until it reaches ten; what is between five and ten is waqash, and some scholars restrict waqash specifically to cattle.
