أبدلَ يُبدل، إبْدالاً، فهو مُبدِل، والمفعول مُبدَل

أبدلَ الثَّوبَ وغيرَه

غيّره.

جعله عوضًا عن شيء

🇬🇧 Translation:

He made it a substitute for something.

أبدلَ الكتابَ بالقصَّة

أخذه عوضًا عنها وخلفا لها (بإدخال الباء على المتروك)

🇬🇧 Translation:

He took it as a substitute and replacement for it (by attaching the preposition 'bi-' to the abandoned item).

" {وَلَا مُبْدِلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ} [ق]
{فَأَرَدْنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُ زَكَاةً وَأَقْرَبَ رُحْمًا} "

" {And there is no changer of His words}
{So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them one better than him in purity and nearer to mercy} (Al-Kahf: 81). "
