ج أفنديَّة : سَيِّد، وهي كلمةٌ تركيَّة كانت تُستعمل لقبَ اعتبارٍ لأصحاب الوظائف المدنيّة والدِّينيَّة ورجال الشريعة والعلماء، شاعت في مصر منذ حكم الأتراك ثم أُلغيت.
