ج آناف وآنُف وأُنُوف : (شر) عضو التَّنفُّس والشمّ، ويُطلق على مجموع المنخرين والحاجز والقصبة

- لا يرى أبعد من أرنبة أنفه : تنقصه النظرة الصائبة والرؤية البعيدة للأمور، محدود التفكير
- مات حَتْفَ أنفِه : مات على فراشه بصورة طبيعيّة، من غير قتل أو حرق أو غرق أو ما شابه ذلك
- نفخ الشيطان في أنفه : تطاول إلى ما ليس له
- وَرِم أنفُه : غضب واغتاظ
- يتبع أنفه : يتشمَّم الرَّائحةَ فيتبعها.
