بابيَّة

(سف) فرقة مبتدِعة تدّعي الإسلام، ظهرت في إيران في القرن التَّاسع عشر، منسوبة إلى الباب ميرزا علي محمد الشِّيرازي، وتقوم على أساس فكرة المهديِّ المنتظر، وتعتمد فلسفتها على جذور من آراء الشّيعة الإسماعيلية.

(Philosophy) Babism; a heterodox religious movement claiming Islam, which appeared in Iran in the nineteenth century, attributed to the Bab Mirza Ali Muhammad al-Shirazi, based on the idea of the awaited Mahdi, and drawing its philosophical roots from Ismailis Shia views.
