بذَلَ يَبذُل، بَذْلاً، فهو باذِل، والمفعول مَبْذول

أعطاه وجادَ به عن طِيب نفْس

• بذَل المساعي الحميدة : قام بها جادًّا
• بذَل جَهْدَه/ بذَل أقصى الجهود/ بذَل قصارى جَهْدَه/ بذَل وُسْعَه/ بذَل ما في وُسْعَه : أفرغ أقصى طاقته، عَمِل المُسْتطاع
• بذَل ماء وجهه : خلع الحياء.

• to exert good efforts: to perform them earnestly
• to exert one's effort / exert utmost efforts / exert one's utmost effort / exert one's capacity / exert what is in one's capacity: to exhaust one's maximum energy, to do the utmost possible
• to risk one's face/honor: to cast off modesty.

ضحّى بها، أفرغ طاقته في هذا السَّبيل

to sacrifice oneself for it, to exhaust one's energy in this path

بذَل الغاليَ والنَّفيسَ/ بذَل النَّفسَ والنَّفيسَ : ضحّى بنفسه وماله.

to sacrifice the precious and valuable / to sacrifice soul and wealth: to sacrifice oneself and one's wealth.

امتثل الطاعة، خضع له.

🇬🇧 Translation:

to render obedience, to submit to him.
