بِئْس

فِعل ماض جامد، يدلّ على الذمّ بمعنى قبُح، عكسه نِعْم في سياق المدح، وقد تلحق به (ما)

A defective past verb expressing blame, meaning 'how evil' or 'what an evil', the antonym of (ni'ma) in the context of praise. It is sometimes suffixed with (mā).
