أطبق بعضَه على بعض وثناه فصار كأنَه ضِعف.

ضعَّف الحرفَ
شدَّده أو زاد عليه حرفًا من جنسه وأدغم الأصليّ في الزائد.

To double a letter or add a letter of the same kind to it, assimilating the original letter into the added one.
