ذَقَن

ج أذقان (لغير المصدر) وذقون (لغير المصدر) : مصدر ذقِنَ.

ذَقَنُ الإنسانِ

ذِقْنه؛ مجتمع اللحْيَيْن من أسفلهما وهو مذكّر

His chin; the meeting of the two jaws from below, and it is masculine.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Deceived him
Laughed in so-and-so's chin : Mocked him to his face
Drowned in his work up to his chin : Engrossed, immersed in it
A burdened person who sought help with his chin : Meaning he relied on someone weaker and more degraded than him.

ذَقَنُ الشَّيْخ

(نت) نبات مُعَمَّر بَرِّيّ للزِّينة من فصيلة المركّبات الأنبوبيّة الزّهر.

(نت) نبات من فصيلة القرنيّات قريب الشّبه من السَّنط.

ذَقَن الحيَّة

(نت) نبات عشبيّ من فصيلة الزنبقيّات.

(Botany) A herbaceous plant of the lily family.

" حلق ذَقَنه
{وَيَخِرُّونَ لِلأَذْقَانِ يَبْكُونَ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ خُشُوعًا} : يسجدون على الأرض "

" He shaved his chin
{And they fall upon their faces (chins) weeping, and it increases them in humility} : They prostrate on the ground. "
