فخَّمَ يفخِّم، تفخيمًا، فهو مُفخِّم، والمفعول مُفخَّم

أجلَّه، عظَّمه ورفع قدره

(لغ) نطقه بإرجاع اللسان قليلاً ورفع مؤخره نحو الطبق أي الحنك الأقصى، عكسه رقّقه.

(Linguistics) To pronounce it by drawing the tongue back slightly and raising its back toward the palate, the opposite of tarqeeq (thinning).
