🇬🇧 Translation:
To forgive his sin, to pardon him, to cover it with forgiveness and pardon.
  • المتوفَّى، المرحوم، تقال تفاؤلاً بأن يغفر اللهُ تعالى له، وتستعمل هذه العبارة قبل أسماء العظماء المتوفَّيْن
  • حَجٌّ مبرور وذنبٌ مغفور : دعاء يقال للحاجّ أو مَنْ ينوي الحجّ
  • غفر الله له : دعاء بأن يعفو اللهُ عنه.
🇬🇧 Translation:
  • The deceased, the late. Said with the optimistic hope that God Almighty will forgive him, and this phrase is used before the names of deceased great figures.
  • Hajj mabrur and a forgiven sin: a prayer said for a pilgrim or someone intending to perform Hajj.
  • May God forgive him: a prayer that God pardon him.
