جج حمائِمُ، مف حمامة : (حن) جنس طير من الفصيلة الحماميّة يعيش في كل مدن العالم تقريبًا، يتغذى على الحبوب والحشرات والنباتات، له قدرة عجيبة في التعرّف على طريق العودة إلى المكان الذي ينشأ فيه ولذلك استخدم قديمًا في نقل الرسائل من مكان إلى مكان على بُعْد مئات الأميال، وهو أنواع (للمذكَّر والمؤنَّث)

(Zool) A genus of birds from the dove family living in almost all cities of the world, feeding on grains, insects, and plants.
