كتاب الله تعالى المنزَّل على نبيّه عيسى عليه السلام، وهي كلمة يونانيّة معناها البشارة، يذكّر ويؤنَّث، فمن أنَّثه أراد الصَّحيفةَ ومن ذكّره أراد الكتابَ

🇬🇧 Translation:

The Holy Book of God revealed to His prophet Jesus, peace be upon him. It is a Greek word meaning the good tidings. It can be treated as masculine or feminine; whoever treats it as feminine means the scroll (sahifah), and whoever treats it as masculine means the book.

• الإنجيل الذي طبع في لندن حوالي 1568
• إنجيل الفقراء : نوع من الكتب المصوَّرة التي ظهرت في القرون الوسطى والتي كانت تحتوي على موضوعات دينيّة
• الأناجيل الأربعة : مجموعة أعمال المسيح وأقواله كما وردت في أربع روايات (متى- مرقس- لوقا- يوحنا) ، وقد اتّفق المَجْمَع الكَنْسيّ على صحّتها.

• Biblia pauperum (Poor Men's Bible): a type of illustrated book that appeared in the Middle Ages containing religious themes
• The Four Gospels: the collection of Christ's deeds and sayings as recorded in four accounts (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), the authenticity of which was agreed upon by the church council.
