خيَّبَ يخيِّب، تخييبًا، فهو مخيِّب، والمفعول مخيَّب

جعله خائبًا، حرمه ممّا كان يطلبه، أَفْشَله، خسَّره

Made him fail, deprived him of what he sought, defeated him, caused him loss

أتي بما لا يتوقعه منه، لم يحقّق ما كان مأمولاً منه.

🇬🇧 Translation:

Brought what was not expected of him, did not achieve what was hoped from him (disappointed).
