(نت) نبات برّيّ وزراعيّ، يُزرع في المناطق المعتدلة والدفيئة، يزيد ارتفاعُه على نصف متر، زهرته زرقاء جميلة، وثمرته مدوّرة بها بذور بُنّيّة لامعة تُعرف باسم بذر الكتّان، يُعتصر منه الزيت الحارّ، كما يستخرج من لحائه ألياف نسيجيّة
