(نت) جنْس شجَر من فصيلة البرازيّات بَرِّيّ وزراعيّ، يُزرع في البلاد الحارّة، ثماره قرون تُغلّف من لَوْزتَيْن إلى عَشْر لوزات، يُراوح لَونها من الأَحْمر إلى الأبيض الأصْفر، وهي مأكولة مُغَذّية تُنَشّط القَلْب، وتُنبّه الأعصاب وتدفع التعب وتُساعِد على الهَضْم، كما يُصنع منها شراب.

(Botany) Kola; a genus of trees of the Sterculiaceae family, wild and cultivated, grown in hot countries. Its fruits are pods enclosing two to ten kernels, ranging in color from red to yellowish-white. They are edible, nutritious, stimulate the heart, excite the nerves, ward off fatigue, aid digestion, and are used to make a beverage.
