لَدَى
Root: ل د ى
ظرف مكانٍ جامد بمعنى عِنْدَ، وقد يستعمل في الزَّمان، وإذا أضيف إلى مُضمر قُلبت ألفُه ياء، فتقول : لَدَيْك ولَدَيْه، ويكون عمدةً فيكون خبرًا للمبتدأ وما شاكل ذلك
🇬🇧 Translation:
An uninflected adverb of place meaning "at" or "by", and it may also be used for time. When suffixed to a pronoun, its alif turns into a ya', as in ladayka and ladayhi. It acts as a primary constituent, such as being a predicate for a subject and the like.

- وصل لدى غروب الشَّمس
- {وَأَلْفَيَا سَيِّدَهَا لَدَى الْبَابِ}
- {وَمَا كُنْتَ لَدَيْهِمْ إِذْ يُلْقُونَ أَقْلَامَهُمْ} : بحضرتهم إذ يقترعون "
